Copywriting for Search Engines

Search engine copywriting is the process of writing descriptive and structured web site copy that provides the best opportunities for ranking well in the search engines.

Search engine copywriting techniques include:
Doing proper keyword research and selecting keywords that accurately reflect your web site’s theme and offerings.
Having your primary keywords situated on each page of your site.
Creating a separate content page for each primary keyword.
Include primary keywords in headlines, sub headlines and title tags.
Hyper linking your keywords to sub pages.
Having keywords located close to the beginning of the page (called proximity). Some search engines use proximity as a basis for weighting the relevance of keywords.
Having a minimum of 200 words on the home page including a high concentration or density of keywords.
Repeating keywords legitimately but not excessively.
Use a natural, common sense writing style to ensure you don’t excessively repeat keywords.
