Interactive Advertising
A newer, digital form of advertising spawned by the Internet that includes all formats of advertising utilizing the Internet, interactive television or wireless devices.
Interactive advertising engages the user and allows them to actively participate in an advertising sequence. It includes such things as web banners, text links, site sponsorships, online searches, classified ads, prospect surveys, e-mail and interactive TV commercials (e.g. TV commercials that send you to a web site for more information.)
Interactive advertising is very different from traditional advertising in that Web users control what information or input they will absorb, for how long, in what sequence, etc.
